The ongoing trend of featuring a statement metallic hue is enjoying a deserved update this year thanks to Dulux. Dulux’s Colour of the Year 2016, Cherished Gold, is a warm and welcome evolution to last year’s must-have metallic copper, and pairs beautifully with rich jewel shades such as deep blues as well as pastels shades, like pale greys. Cherished Gold will add a touch of glamour to any room with its earthy tones and hints of yellow, whether showcased boldly on the walls in blocks or highlighted through key accessories.

One way to add Cherished Golds to your interior without being too drastic is by pairing it with a pastel hue; a simple white creates the perfect backdrop to showcase your accessories, or why not choose our favourite other colour of the year, Rose Quartz to create a statement yet fun look.

Another way to celebrate the Cherished Gold trend without having to fully run with it is to showcase it through subtle accents; go for a gold velvet chair, or even cushion, to add a touch of luxe or, a little bit more adventurous, paint a diagonal area on your main wall alongside a pastel shade. 1. I read some other blog how can design a interior with the expired household items and you are the best. We are always struggle to match the lighting with interior design. Thanks for creating this awesome blog. Followed you on social media. Hope we can learn a lot.

In areas with long winters, misty grey skies and endless white snow landscapes golden tones make a lot of sense.
