Lust List: The Top Brass
The interior design industry is enjoying a huge revival of brass in lighting and home furnishings, and with so many sleek, modern products being produced in this ancient metal, we wanted to share our favorite finds with you. At Milan’s iSaloni furniture fair this year, Tom Dixon launched several new stylish brass products including the (1) ‘Plane’ Light Pendants; and the (8) ‘Beat’ Table Light. For the ultimate in brass glamour we love (2) Lee Broom’s Brass ‘Carousel’ Light Pendant which is inspired the traditional British fairground ride; and his (11) Brass Crystal Bulb Table Lamp. Bec Brittain’s (3) ‘Echo 24′ Light available at Future Perfect is a ‘jewel-like’ sculptural masterpiece with fins of mirror radiating from a central axis to reflect beams of light. The (4) ‘Zoid’ Console by Meier / Ferrer at Dering Hall and (4) ‘Floating Drawer Dresser’ by Codor Design combine elegance, simplicity and architectural lines. The (7) ‘Puzzle’ Chandelier by Jonathan Adler is a bold mix of 70s Italian and sleek kinetic modernism. For a more laid back brass tables we love West Elm’s (6) Martini Side Table in Antique Brass; the (9) ‘Habibi’ Side Table from Nest and the (10) ‘Algedi’ Table with marble top.
